ONESTEP is happy to announce the addition of two new online facilitators, Julia Rabinovitch who will represent the South East region and can be reached at: julia@onestep.on.ca and Maureen Lancaster who will represent the South West region and can be reached at: maureen@onestep.on.ca.
Toronto Region ONESTEP meeting will be on January 14th, 2005 at 9:30 am. Location to be announced.
South East Region meeting, January 10, 2005, 10:30 am to 2:00 pm at YEAH in Brockville.
South West Region meeting, January 28, 2005, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Location in London to be announced.
ONESTEP’s Membership Fees Will Increase on April 1st, 2005
At it’s Annual General Meeting on September 16th, the ONESTEP membership voted to increase annual fees for full members. Fees have not been increased for over 10 years. The new membership fee structure would see all full members categorized based on budget size in to two categories:
Definition of Budget: the agency’s operating and overhead budget minus stipends or other fees that go directly to clients is over $1.5 million per year. Programs include: those that fall under ONESTEP’s mandate – pre-employment, education and training programs. This includes funding under the following programs -- HRSDC, Job Connect, Literacy Basic Skills, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (Job Search Workshop, LINC, ISAP).
There is no change to the Auxiliary Membership fee.

Canada's hospitals began as charitable institutions. Its first schools were organized by churches. Its universities, credit unions, wheat pools, housing co-operatives and blood transfusion service all sprang out of the non-profit sector.
