Is your agency looking for a progressive group benefits plan for your staff?

Dear ONESTEP members,

ONESTEP is again exploring the idea of working with a company to provide competitively priced health care and dental benefits and other related benefits such as RRSPs, life insurance and long term disability. The company that we are considering working with works exclusively with non-profit organizations in Canada. Please contact me if you would like more information about this association-wide plan. Send emails to me at bbeaupre@onestep.on.ca or telephone me at (416) 591-7151 x 224. Thank you. Bernadette Beaupre

IN OTHER NEWS: Federal and Provincial Government Staff Discussions

We are aware that despite the fact that there are no “formal negotiations” regarding a labour market agreement between the Government of Canada and the Province of Ontario, the two levels have come together to try to come up with some ways of increasing communication and co-ordination. Right now staff from NHQ and Regional Headquarters of HRSD are meeting with staff from MTCU. They are looking at what each government offers, how they can increase their information sharing and possible ways to integrate some of their programming.

We will update you on this work as it becomes available.
