South West Regional Meeting

The meeting agenda for Friday November 12, is now posted in the Member Zone in the South West Region section.

ONESTEP’s Membership Fees Will Increase on April 1st, 2005

At it’s Annual General Meeting on September 16th, the ONESTEP membership voted to increase annual fees for full members. Fees have not been increased for over 10 years. The new membership fee structure would see all full members categorized based on budget size in to two categories:

Definition of Budget: the agency’s operating and overhead budget minus stipends or other fees that go directly to clients is over $1.5 million per year. Programs include: those that fall under ONESTEP’s mandate – pre-employment, education and training programs. This includes funding under the following programs -- HRSDC, Job Connect, Literacy Basic Skills, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (Job Search Workshop, LINC, ISAP).
There is no change to the Auxiliary Membership fee.

South East Regional Meeting

South East Region ONESTEP meeting, December 6, 2004 at YEAH in Brockville 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. An agenda will be sent before the meeting.

Portfolio Development for Career & Employment Professionals (ONIP.online)

"Portfolio Development" is an online course for Career & Employment Professionals who want to learn the theory fundamentals of portfolio development, while experiencing the process of building a portfolio. During the course participants will be coached to create a portfolio for themselves and/or guide a client(s) through the process. Through independent study, discussion forums, and evening online conferences, you will learn how to use portfolios to expand your awareness of the skills sets your client(s) possesses, and ways of validating them.

CCCBET: Leadership Toolkit for Community-Based Training Sector

CCCBET Releases Leadership Toolkit for Community-Based Training Sector

The Canadian Coalition for Community-Based Employability Training (CCCBET) has launched a toolkit of leadership best practices for the community-based training sector.

Emerging from a two-year national research project on the need for leadership development and succession planning in the CBT sector, the toolkit was officially launched at the CCCBET’s national conference in February 2004. All conference materials and PDF forms of the toolkit are also now available online.
