ONESTEP Collecting Research on Succession Planning

There is a need for more current information that will identify the reality of the aging workforce in the non-profit employment sector in Ontario. To that end, ONESTEP has embarked on a Graying of the Non-Profit Employment Sector project that will result in a labour force strategy. If your organization has created a plan, or is in the process of succession planning. Please contact Debbie. Belinda Stronach, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development and Minister responsible for Democratic Renewal, today announced $78,700 in funding, through Human Resources and Skills Development Canada's Foreign Credential Recognition (FCR) Program, for a project being carried out by the Canadian Association for Prior Learning Assessment (CAPLA).

Government of Canada provides over $1.8 million to support development of skilled work force in service-providing sectors

Belinda Stronach, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development and Minister responsible for Democratic Renewal, today announced that the Government of Canada will provide over $1.8 million through the Sector Council Program, to support the development of Canada's skilled work force in the contact centre, the installation, maintenance and repair sectors.
