Labour Market Information at HRSDC

Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) Internet sites have been evolving. Please let me take this opportunity to provide some directions to HRSDC Labour Market Information on the Internet.

Our Labour Market Information homepage is http://www.labourmarketinformation.ca/ Click on a heading, for example, click on Build Your Occupational Profile. Then select your Province or Territory, and your Area. Then you may search by occupation title, list of analyzed occupations, NOC codes or Job Type. If you select Ontario, Toronto, List of Analyzed Occupations, a list will appear, containing about 55 occupational profiles written by Toronto/York Labour Market Information Analysts. The menu under the LMI symbol contains other features, such as Who Hires which lists employers linked to particular occupations. Please explore the other features of the site listed in the menu.

The HRSDC homepage is http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/ Please select your choice of official language. Scroll down to Services Where You Live. Select Ontario. Scroll down to Region Specific - Services for Individuals. Here you will find headings to explore including Career Planning, Financial Benefits, Jobs - Job Bank - Ontario and:

The heading About the Local Labour Market leads to local Labour Market Bulletins.

The heading More LMI leads to the page Ontario Regional Services: More LMI. This page includes, at the bottom of the page, a heading Local - More LMI for your Local Area. This link provides information prepared by labour market analysts working in local offices across Ontario. For Toronto the following subjects are listed:
